Alabama College Basketball Team Left Out of Latest Coaches Poll

The Alabama college basketball team has had a rough start to the 2023-2024 season, with three consecutive losses. However, they managed to bounce back with a win over Eastern Kentucky at home. Despite this, they have not been included in the latest rankings and did not receive a single vote in the recent USA TODAY Sports men’s basketball Coaches Poll.

As SEC play approaches, the team will have one more non-conference opponent as they host Liberty on Dec. 30. However, despite the team’s struggles, the SEC has several teams that were recognized in the latest rankings.

The full Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, shows that several SEC teams were included in the rankings, but the Alabama Crimson Tide were notably absent. The team currently remains outside the top 25 and has a long road ahead to climb back into contention.

It is clear that the team has work to do in order to make an impact in the college basketball world, but with SEC play on the horizon, they have the opportunity to turn their season around.
