An Alabama woman was killed Tuesday evening when her car collided head-on with another vehicle, state troopers said.
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Jessica Smith of Montgomery. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Alabama Highway 143 in Elmore County.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 32-year-old man from Prattville, was injured in the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

An Alabama teenager was killed when the ATV he was riding overturned, state troopers said.
The victim was identified as 17-year-old Trey Mitchell of Cullman. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on County Road 144 in Cullman County.
Mitchell was riding the ATV alone when he lost control and overturned. He was not wearing a helmet.
