With the College Football Playoff semifinal matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Michigan Wolverines still more than two weeks away, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is not slowing down during the “downtime”. Since winning the SEC Championship on Dec. 2, Coach Saban and his staff have been hitting the recruiting trail in hopes of pulling in another top class in the country.

On Friday afternoon, Coach Saban made his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” and discussed his recent schedule. Saban also took the time to praise Crimson Tide strength coach David Ballou for how well he relates to his players.

During his appearance on the show, Coach Saban covered a variety of topics, including his strength coach David Ballou, his viral Ferrari video, the upcoming matchup with Michigan, and even the possibility of Pat McAfee being on the sidelines during the Rose Bowl.

According to Saban, strength coach David Ballou has done an exceptional job of getting players back to where they need to be and creating a strong connection with the team. Saban also addressed the viral video of him starting up his Ferrari and expressed surprise that it went viral. When talking about the upcoming matchup against Michigan, Saban acknowledged that the Wolverines are a really good team with impressive skill players, presenting unique challenges for the Crimson Tide. He emphasized the importance of preparation for facing a team that is different from any other they have played against this year.

Lastly, Saban and McAfee hinted at the possibility of McAfee being on the sidelines during the Rose Bowl, adding an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming game.
