The Auburn Tigers are gearing up to face off against Alabama A&M in their sixth official match of the season at Neville Arena. This comes after suffering back-to-back losses against Cal and UCF.
The Tigers will be looking to put those losses behind them and get back to their winning ways as they head into the ACC/SEC Challenge. On the other hand, Alabama A&M comes into the game with a 2-2 record, with their two losses coming in the opening games of the season. They are coming off a commanding 74-44 win against the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
These two teams have faced each other seven times in the past, with the Tigers emerging victorious on every occasion. However, Alabama A&M will be hungry to end that streak and continue their own winning run.
The Tigers will be striving to improve their scoring average of 64 points per game and their efficiency from the 3-point range, which has been a struggle in their losses. Graduate student guard Honesty Scott-Grayson leads the Tigers in points so far this season with 69 points, while freshman center Savannah Scott follows closely with 52 points.
The Bulldogs will be traveling to Auburn with the goal of beating the Tigers for the first time in their program’s history. They come into the game with an average of 59.5 points per game and will pose a challenge to the Tigers offensively.
The match is set to take place at Neville Arena on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. CST. If you enjoy this story, consider supporting The Plainsman by making a donation. Additionally, you can share and discuss this article on social media.
